Maui Strong Pro-Am Event: A Pickleball Fundraiser You Don’t Want to Miss!

Introduction

Hey everyone! I recently stumbled upon an incredible event that you’ll definitely want to hear about. The Maui Strong Pro-Am Event, sponsored by CourtReserve, is a pickleball fundraiser set to take place on Thursday, August 24th, from 5 pm to 7 pm. And get thisโ€”the courts are already fully booked!

I feel so lucky to be a pickleball player in Colorado. This great event is only an hour away from my home courts in Denver, I’m definitely going and I can’t wait to see some of you readers there. Please don’t hesitate to talk to me if you see me (I’ll be wearing my famous hoodie, lol).

Why You Should Participate

A Warm Welcome for a Noble Cause

The organizers are super welcoming, and the event is for an excellent cause. Participants are required to make a minimum donation of $200, which will go to either the Maui Food Bank or the Claydon Family.

An Exciting Experience Awaits

The Maui Relief Pro-Amateur Pickleball Fundraiser has planned a Round Robin and dinner featuring seven professional athletes. What’s more, they’re limiting participation to just 18 players, based on a first-to-donate-first-to-register policy. If you’re an intermediate-level player or above, this event is perfect for you!

Additional Perks

Delicious Dinner and Silent Auction

The dinner will be catered by Decent Pizza, and there will be a silent auction for players and guests. The professional lineup includes Craig Bobo, Stan Briggs, Joe Frasca, Ken Lehman, Mark Milner (great coach and great guy – luv you Mark!), Scott Moore, and Bill Muno.

How to Register

To secure your spot, you’ll need to verify your donation by emailing a screenshot or copy of your confirmation to julie@springspickleball.com.

For Non-Players

If you’re not interested in playing but would still like to enjoy the dinner and auction, a minimum donation of $50 is suggested. Just email a copy of your donation confirmation to the same address.

Why This Matters: The Maui Wildfires

The event takes on added significance when you consider the recent wildfires in Maui. These devastating fires have impacted both the environment and local communities, making fundraisers like this one crucial for providing much-needed relief.

Conclusion

So, why not join in? It’s a fantastic opportunity to have fun and contribute to a worthy cause. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to julie@springspickleball.com. Trust me, it’s a win-win situation!

Let’s make a difference together!
