Franklin Pickleball Net
As a pickleball coach and player, I have had my fair share of experience with different kinds of portable pickleball nets. This offering from Franklin is impressive and sturdy but has a couple drawbacks. I don’t know if I like it as much as the Swiftnet – actually I’m positive I don’t like it as much – but this one is cheaper so that should weigh in your considerations.
What Franklin Gets Right with This NetFor $170, you get all of what you pay for
Regulation size
Its regulation size instantly caught my eye. At 22 feet long and 3 feet high, it adheres to the official USA Pickleball (USAPA) net standards for competitive and tournament play. This means that you can use it for serious games without worrying about any discrepancies in measurements.
Portability
The fact that it is highly portable adds to its appeal. It comes with a premium travel bag included which makes storing and transportation incredibly easy! Carrying around paddles, balls and other accessories alongside the net is no longer an issue.
Durability & Versatility
When it comes to durability and versatility – this product ticks all boxes! Built with powdered steel posts and heavy-duty nylon netting ensures that it can withstand extreme temperatures outside as well as indoors!
You need to be shredded to carry this monsterWeak backs and sore shoulders should look elsewhere
However, there are a few cons that must be mentioned:
Setup Time
I timed myself setting this bad boy up and taking down this net can be tedious as it has a security button on every piece making assembly or disassembly take more time.
Weight
Although described as being portable, another reviewer reported difficulty moving due to its weight especially when travelling frequently.
Design Flaws
Lastly another review found the Velcro strap securing the middle bottom of the net slightly bothersome during gameplay implying slight design flaws may exist.
So folks final verdict??? If Quality & Dependability are high-upsides needed for every PickleBall enthusiast then absolutely go right ahead and invest in the Franklin, otherwise, try inventing ways of turning regular table tennis nets into regulation-sized ones..(just kidding!!!).
